Prim eyed his hand, a glimmer of laughter still dancing in her eyes, then looked back up at him. "I don't really do handshakes," she explained. "Fist bump?" she offered her fist as an offering.

He looked down at her fist quizzically, but also made his hand into a fist, and bumped hers with it. "May I ask why," he asked, looking up at her afterwards. "At the risk of offending again, and don't forget, this is me trying to get to know you...Are you a germ-o-phobe?" He quickly added. "There's nothing wrong if you are, just curious as to why no hand shakes."

"I'm not a germ-o-phobe," she assured him with a smile. "I just find the concept of hand-shaking to be rather silly, overall. My father is this hotshot CEO of a company and all he does all day is go around shaking hands. I asked him why he shook hands with people all the time and he had no excuse at all. To me, that's silly. I don't want to hold hands with a stranger, even if for only a moment. It feels too intimate."

Teegan processed this response for a moment, then nodded in understanding. "I guess I can see that," he said. "I guess I view it as showing a bit of the vulnerable side of yourself, opening yourself up to someone." He looked around, searching for the correct words to describe his thought process. "It's like, when you have your hand out there, who knows what people could do to it," he started. "They could crush it with their own grip, they could hurt your shoulder, or worst case they could suddenly stab it." He paused for another moment before shrugging. "But then, to each their own." He smiled brightly at her. "So, what do you have planned for the rest of this day?"

"And who on earth would wish to be vulnerable to a stranger?" Prim countered simply. That seemed a fair bit silly to her, indeed! One should be kind but not stupid. Teegan went on an attempt to explain his stance and won only a look of dry bemusement from Prim. "Honestly, you really aren't making your case." Someone could stab her? No thanks.
"Nothing set in stone," she shrugged. "Possibly a lazy day of studying and experimenting. How about you?"

His eyelids fluttered as he blinked rapidly, putting serious thought into what he had planned for the day. He shrugged. "Well, to be honest, I hadn't really thought about what I was planning on doing today, past studying transfiguration a bit." He smiled. "I tend to just go with the flow and see where the day takes me." He shrugged again. "I wish we were able to leave the castle and travel to Hogsmeade whenever we wanted to," he sighed, looking back at the large, stone building they both lived in. "But what can you do?"
